School Climate & Culture

    Expectations

At Alicia Sanchez International, all students, staff and visitors are encouraged to practice and uphold our three school-wide expectations:
    • Be Safe
    • Be Responsible
    • Be Respectful

    Bully Proofing Program

The staff at Alicia Sanchez International School care about the safety and happiness of all children.  All staff members will be promoting, teaching, and reinforcing IB concepts in addition to programs that build community.
    • Second Step
    • Restorative Justice
    • Well-Managed Schools
    • Bully-Proofing Your School
    • Peace Place
    • A World of Difference

    Through  these programs we stress:

    • Friendship Skills
    • Understanding and Managing Feelings
    • Participating and Contributing to a Caring Community

We also teach students to handle conflict by the following:
    • Talk – Tell the person you don’t like what they are doing and ask them to stop.
    • Walk – Walk away from the person.
    • Go for Help – Go to an adult and ask for help

    Safety At School

We care about your safety.  To report issues of bullying or safety, please do not hesitate to contact the school.  You can report anonymously by calling the school at 720-561-7300.  You may also contact the school principal or school counselor.

We also participate in the Safe2Tell program.  You can report to this program through their website at www.safe2tell.org or 1-887-542-SAFE (7233).
