Purpose and Principles

At Alicia Sanchez Elementary School, we believe that our work will break down the barriers of racial and social injustice that have impacted our community.  We strive to engage all students in culturally responsive instruction, we practice reflection based on data, and we value a socio-emotionally supportive approach and collaboration with our stakeholders. We are committed to offering the best education for students, both learning online and in person this year, so they reach their highest potential. Our students deserve every opportunity to fulfill their dreams for the future.

Our Key Principles or "Big Rocks"

  1. Lesson design and delivery informed by conversations about data and aligned to grade level standards.

  2. Data informed collaboration with a commitment to relational trust.

  3. Schoolwide systems are clear, consistent, and support students and teachers in creating a positive learning environment.
