Supporting Sanchez: Strengthening Community Through Padres Unidos

At Alicia Sanchez Elementary, our Parent-Teacher Association, now called Padres Unidos, is dedicated to uniting our diverse community, especially in our Title 1 school where over 75% of families live below the poverty line. Padres Unidos hosts events like the annual Halloween Bash and Taste of Sanchez, a cultural potluck celebrating the rich diversity of our families.

Padres Unidos also provides crucial support by funding field trips, school supplies, snacks, and maintaining our school garden. We manage the Friday Folders, which help keep parents informed, and support staff appreciation. However, without volunteers, we cannot continue these fun activities and essential services.

You can volunteer with Padres Unidos as little as once a year or as often as weekly—just contact the school to learn more about how to join. To donate or buy swag, please visit our website.
