School Accountability Committee (SAC)

Alicia Sanchez has had a SAC operation for the past five years.  However, only in the last year has the School Accountability Committee been demographically representative of the student body population.  We are proud to be one of the few schools that is insistent upon having representation from all segments of our community.  Everyone is invited to attend any SAC meeting, and we provide translation services at all of our meetings.  We welcome input from everyone in our school based community.

We proudly appreciate that our state and federal governments emphasize the inclusion of families in the educational accountability process. The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is a legally-constituted accountability and advisory committee of parent representatives that report to the school principal.

In general, the SAC is a representative advisory team that reviews school budgets, drives school improvements and supports parent engagement.  In accordance with BVSD policy, a SAC member from each school shall serve on, and communicate with, the District Accountability Committee (DAC).
